VET ADDED AT CHRISTMAS BREAK

In a bold and contraversial move the Blues have added veteren leadership this Christmas season with the addition of Santa Clause.

"We were suprised to find out he was a free agent" says GM Darrell Mussell  "Apparantly he was kicked out of the Northern Ontario league few weeks ago for fighting, and he had difficulty playing down south due to the climate....so were a perfect fit"

Asst Coach Blair Molto first heard about his availibilty " I'm from Sudbury and a buddy called...he said there was a big guy in a red suit over at the Hillbilly Bar claiming he was the best player in Ontario not on the ice...then he passed out at the bar" 

Head Coach Myles McCauley isnt sold on the move " you know I've been around long enough to know when you bring a guy in this late in the season, out of shape and refusing to shave its  tough.  I tried the same look back in the 80's when I came to Collingwood....thats another issue though...."

AC Matt Oikawa sees the upside though " look for a big guy he moves...I potentially see him playing defence AND goal at the same time...he's that good.  Think about it...if he can get down those chimneys and cover the globe in a single night, he's doing something right"
