15 of Ontarios best Jr A hockey teams decended on Collingwood this weekend to participate in Canada's largest ever Showcase Tournament....and by all accounts it was a huge success. "The quality of hockey played this weekend was exceptional" explains GM Darrell Mussell " We had everything this weekend...big upsets, big hits, and big excitement all around. I couln't have ask for anything more...from the arena staff to our volunteers it was well supported." The Blues will be applying to host this event annually. With well over 500 people being attracted to the area for the weekend, every hotel in town was booked solid and restaurants were packed. "This is the type of event where everyone in our league says Collingwood is the place to have it.
